A BRIEF HISTORY
The Central Jersey Aquatic Club, originally named the Shore Aquatic Club, was founded by Bill Palmer in 1961. It was the first AAU swim club in Monmouth County, and one of the first in New Jersey.
In the early 1970's the team became incorporated as the Central Jersey Aquatic Club when Palmer joined forces with Frank Elm of the Scarlet Jets. Palmer remained as Head Coach until 1988, when current head coaches Corrina Weinkofsky and Cathy Corcione took the helm.
CJAC gained national recognition in 1976 by winning the women's senior national championship meet as well as the men's and women's combined.
